The virtues and sanctity of the city

Before the beginning of talking about the virtues of the city, in the name of God the Merciful (Praise be to Allaah.

Madinah was honored by the Prophet’s migration to it, and its virtues have been talked about in many prophetic hadiths, because of its great importance, which we will stop at, until we know what the Islamic heritage says about it, during the following lines.

And it was stated in the book “The Beginning and the End” by Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir under the title “Separation of honoring the city with his emigration, peace be upon him,” that the city migrated to our master Muhammad, the best of prayers and peace be upon him, in addition to that it became a cave for God’s parents and righteous servants, and also became a stronghold and an impregnable fortress for Muslims and the abode of guidance For the worlds.

It was also proven in (The Two Sahihs) by Habib bin Yasaf, on the authority of Jaafar bin Asim, on the authority of Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Faith returns to Medina as a serpent returns to its hole.”

And also in the two Sahihs on the authority of Malik, by Yahya bin Saeed that he heard Abu Al-Habbab Saeed bin Yasar say: “The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I was commanded to eat the villages, he says: Yathrib, which is: Medina, people are purified as the bellows purifies the slag of iron, and it is isolated. Imam Malik distinguished from the rest of the four imams by giving it preference over Mecca.

These are some of the hadiths that talked about the virtues of Madinah Al Munawwarah, and the most correct of them are those mentioned above, and God knows best.

In addition, Muslim narrated in his Sahih from the hadith of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him:

The virtue of the people of Medina and residing there

After talking about the virtues of Medina and its sanctity, we will talk about the virtues of the people of Medina, for they have a great and great position with the people of Islam, because they are among the companions of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.

They sheltered him and helped him, and they struggled - with him and after him - with their money and themselves, just as they followed him. May Allah reward them with them, and they called migrants and supporters.

And it came in the texts that whoever lived in Medina, in addition to being one of its people, adhering to the law of God Almighty, and following the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he will receive from the favor of the choice of the people of Medina to the extent of his adherence to his religion.

And we will find that our master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, has warned against any harm to the people of Medina, as he has told that those who harm them will have exposed himself to God’s revenge on him.

In this context, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “No one desires the people of Madinah with evil except that God will melt him in the fire of lead, or the slanderer.”

And also said the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "From the fear of the people of the city unjustly fear God, and there is no curse of God, angels and all people, does not accept God from the Day of Resurrection and not just."

There is a text in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says: “He who fears the people of the city has feared what is between my sides.” And in another hadith, he said: “Whoever is able to die in the city, let him do so, for I will intercede for the one who died there.”

And in hadiths on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he urged people to live in Madinah, not to move from it, and in addition to that he was told that a people would move away, so that they would move away from me, may God’s peace and blessings be upon him:

“A time will come upon people when a man will call upon his cousin and his relative: Come to prosperity, come to prosperity! And the city is better for them, if they only knew. And by the One in Whose hand is my life, none of them takes it out of desiring it, but God will replace it with something better than himself.”

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told him that he was interpreted for those who resolve her, and patience on her.
