During the Ottoman era, there were expansions in the Prophet’s Mosque, where Sultan Abdul Majeed I made the largest expansion of the mosque, and that was by replacing the crescents located above the minarets, and then other copper for gold-coated copper, in addition to the reconstruction of the “Hanafi mihrab”.

The Ottomans performed a marvel of the honorable kindergarten, in addition to working on rebuilding the western wall, which came from Bab al-Rahma.
